RSPCA are just nosy and Hippocratic rascals who have no respect for life. So RSPCA should be ‘Royal Society for Pursuing Cruelty to Animals.’ By cheating people like in such a way they are making their way to hellish planets. They don’t have faintest idea of the karmic reactions they are going to get back.

Its sick, if Gangotri had to be put down, atleast they could have done it off the temples site after notifying the temple authorities that this was necessary. They didn’t even properly examine her or check for disease!
Its a pure act of intentional racism and ignorance, lack of care for our religion. We should stand up.

the rights of the hindus are not taken as seriously by the govt. as other faiths such as the muslims. this i believe is because we are peaceful nonviolent community (a very good aspect). However it is about time the people are made aware of our beliefs too.

I saw Gangotri several times on my occasional visits to the Manor over the last year or so, and she never looked in pain or
distress. She just sat peacefully in her stall, looking quite contented. Was there some prejudice on the behalf of the RSPCA people against the Hare Krishna’s? Did they see us as weirdo’s who needed to be watched carefully and dealt with without mercy or respect?
Although prejudice against people with a different lifestyle and religious belief (as with racism) would be instantly denied by any govt or non-govt organisation, I am sure there are still plenty of officials who would never hesitate to act against people they are prejudiced against.
Hopefully Gangotri has been reincarnated as a devotee!
I wonder what will happen to the unpleasant souls from the RSPCA that put her to death without good reason?
Hare Krishna!

The RSPCA have no repsect for any one in the World and they need to be taught a lesson on killing such an innocent creature and I’m sure that god will one day teach these people a lesson. I think that this is one of the worst thing that a group of people that are meant to be in service of helpless animals can do!

I feel very badly that the RSPCA murdered Gangotri, and claim they acted out of concern for her ‘welfare’. Unfortunately they seem to feel that they can ride rough-shod over peoples’ and animals’ rights, and the police back them up. That’s the trouble you get when you put some ordinary person in a uniform; they may start out with the best of intentions, but they end up behaving like Nazis. I think the Queen should act on this matter - stop them from calling themselves a Royal society; perhaps that might pull them up short and make them think about what they are doing. They don’t just persecute animal owners on racial grounds - my family has suffered, in a small way, at their hands too( by ‘family’ I mean the humans AND animals who make up our family group). I wish you every success in your campaign to achieve some measure of justice for Gangotri.

Being a Hindu and strict vegetarian myself I fully agree that the killing of cows is a terrible act and should never be done. I therefore fully support any effort made to protect these sweet and innocent animals.
That said, I have seen that many persons who call themselves Hindus are only “public vegetarians” - that is they are not strict vegetarians, but eat meat when they think no one is looking.
Therefore, I feel that if we really want to see “justice for Gangotri” then we should all look into our own hearts and lives and see what we can do to not only protect the sacred cow, but all of God’s creatures. We have no right to get angry about the killing of cows if we ourselves eat meat. If we do then we are also hypocrites…
There are numerous animals that go to the slaughterhouses every day to have their lives summarily and brutally taken away from them and end up as someone’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. But these animals have no name, nor do they have champions to care for them or protect them. Gangotri was a loved animal who was taken care of right to the end of her life. Let all of us, who say that we care about her, also care for these nameless animals by not eating meat ourselves and by treating all the creatures on this precious earth with the respect and dignity that they deserve.

The RSPCA’s behaviour is disgusting. They had no right to trespass on pivate property and kill Gangotri who was being cared for by vets. They have lost a great deal of credibility and the local office responsible should be thoroughly ashamed.
