Groundbreaking Ceremony of New Cow Protection Centre by UK Hindu Leaders
On the 3rd February 2008 the Hindu Leaders of the UK will be invited to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony (Bhumi Puja) for the temple’s New Gokul project, which will be Britain’s foremost Centre for Cow Protection and Working Oxen. Following this they will attend a special meeting to plan further actions in the Justice for Gangotri campaign. The leaders will be updated on the recent developments of the campaign and future plans will be discussed.
During the ceremony spiritual leaders, politicians and project donors will be lead by the temple priests in offering ceremonious respects to the earth before the excavation and construction can begin. Part of the ceremony will be dedicated to the memory of Gangotri.
The inauguration program will be open to everyone.
